The National Testing Agency has recently renamed the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) as (CUET) Central Universities Entrance Test. Students can apply for admission to any Central Universities (CUs) across the country through CUET 2022. The CUET will be held in 13 languages across the country at 154 exam centers. Delhi University (DU) has made the CUET obligatory for the academic year 2022-23 this year.
With the launch of the new CUET, every student has the same chance of succeeding and being admitted to their first choice university. Consequently, every student will get an equal opportunity to do well on this single admissions exam and apply to the top university.
The UGC (University Grants Commission) has issued a comprehensive information bulletin for the CUET 2022 exam. According to the CUET Notification 2022, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the CUET-UG 2022 in July first week, with the online application procedure from April 6 to May 6.

The NTA has specified the exam pattern, and the following are some of the topics you should concentrate on:
- Domain-Specific Syllabus for listed subjects
- General Awareness
- Analytical Skills
So, keeping this in mind, you can begin by creating a specific routine to cover all of them before the exam and still get enough time to revise it.
Tips to Prepare for CUET
Here are some tips you can keep in mind while preparing for CUET–
Creating a study schedule
To get decent grades, you should devote roughly 6 hours per day to studying. Also, begin by concentrating on the topics that you find the most difficult to prepare for. Try to divide all the topics equally throughout the week and keep one day to relax so there won’t be too much pressure because of continuous preparation.
Set aside 2 hours of your time to study any six domain-specific topics you want to learn more about.
Every day, you should work on improving your general knowledge. Make it a point to read the newspaper for at least half an hour each day.
Practicing mock tests
Working on the topics and writing tests based on the exam pattern is crucial since it will help identify your strengths and weaknesses, which can be addressed to improve. Every week, take at least one CUET Mock Test and review your performance afterward. Also, try to answer as many MCQs from your board test themes as feasible.
Reading Comprehensions Practice
With a usual word limit of 400-450 words, you might expect 5-8 Reading Comprehension. To master Reading Comprehension, you should make it a habit to read editorial sections of newspapers or novels. The more you practice, the better your vocabulary and grammar will get. Make an effort to converse in English with others around you as much as possible. You’ll also have to master the skill of bypassing time-consuming queries.
Practicing reasoning to improve fast-thinking-
You’ll need extra practice in the quantitative topic to get good grades. Refresh your memory on the principles from normal eighth, ninth, and tenth-grade mathematics, as most of the questions will be based on these themes. More emphasis should be placed on averages, profit & loss, measurement, number system, geometry, simplification, quadratic equations, ratio & proportion, mixtures & allegations, time & word, time, speed, and distance. You can best prepare for the CUET exam 2022 by practicing simple, moderate, and difficult-level questions.
You can succeed in both CUET and board exams if you manage your time correctly. If you are consistent in your preparation, you can also enhance your score. Following a comprehensive study strategy and preparation strategies will help you handle your boards and CUET preparation.
After you finish your board examinations, you’ll have about 30-40 days to prepare for the Common Universities Entrance Test. So make the most of the entire month to boost your CUET prep.
