What should I study for CUET?

Before beginning your preparations to crack CUET 2022, you must know what it is and its importance for further education in UG and PG.

What is CUET?

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) is an all-India test administered by the National Testing Agency for enrollment in 45 Central Universities of India’s undergraduate, integrated, postgraduate, diploma, certification, and research programs.

Prior to 2022, central institutions had their undergraduate and graduate admissions processes. The Education Ministry has adopted CUET to be administered by NTA as a common entrance exam for all of India’s central universities to streamline the admissions process.

Why should you appear for CUET?

With the implementation of the new form of CUET, every student has the same probability of succeeding and getting admission to a top university of choice. Cut-off tests for the 12th grade put all of the emphasis on that grade’s marks. Therefore, every student now has an equal chance to perform well on this single admission exam and apply to the best university.

Through CUET 2022, students can apply to a variety of courses. Universities choose which courses students can register in through CUET. Selected candidates will be required to complete the university counseling process. The individual institutions will communicate the dates and specifics of the process.

What is the exam pattern for CUET?

The exam is categorized into three sections, the first of which focuses on language, the second of which may be focused on a specific topic domain for which the students are applying, and the third of which is based on general aptitude.

The CUET 2022 admission exam will be held in two shifts. One language test, two domain-specific papers, and the general aptitude test comprise the first shift. The second shift contains four domain-specific subjects and option language subjects.

It is critical to grasp the CUET syllabus before beginning your preparation for CUET 2022. You will need to take a disciplined strategy to study for the exam.
