In 1951, a Parliamentary Act created Visva-Bharati University, a central research university and Institution of National Importance, with the goal of promoting study in the humanities, the arts, music, and other fields. Visva-Bharti University is ranked 64 in NIRF 2021 and has a “B” grade from the NAAC.
Visva Bharti University is situated in Santiniketan, West Bengal, and was established by Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore.
