In 1951, a Parliamentary Act created Visva-Bharati University, a central research university and Institution of National Importance, with the goal of promoting study in the humanities, the arts, music, and other fields. Visva-Bharti University is ranked 64 in NIRF 2021 and has a “B” grade from the NAAC.

Visva Bharti University is situated in Santiniketan, West Bengal, and was established by Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore. Its goal is to bring East and West together in a common study fellowship in order to strengthen the fundamental preconditions of world peace through the fostering of unrestricted intellectual exchange between the two hemispheres.

UG Admissions Procedures at the Visva-Bharti University

NTA will administer the CUET Exam (National Testing Agency). It is an independent organisation that oversees the administration of various entrance exams for higher education at various universities. Students must complete the CUET application for the year 2022 in order to be admitted to Visva – Bharti University. 

 

Procedures for Admission to CUET 2022

Visva-Bharti University being offers reservations in admissions according to central government rules.

  • Schedule Caste (SC): 15% of the total seats are reserved for students who belong to SC category.
