Reservations for Tripura University’s Undergraduate Programs:
As a Central University, Tripura University offers admissions preferences in accordance with national government regulations.
Schedule Caste (SC): Students who fall under the SC category are entitled to 17% of the available seats.
Schedule Tribe (ST): Students who fall under the ST Category are given priority for 31% of the available seats.
Other Backward Classes (OBC): Students from Other Backward Classes (OBC), excluding those from the creamy layer, are given 7% of the total intake. Also to be followed is the Central List of Castes.
Economically Weaker Section (EWS): In accordance with the Ministry of Education’s directive, the University has set aside 10% of its seats for the EWS category.
5 percent of the seats are horizontally designated for students from Persons with Disabilities (PWD).
