Dr. Hari Singh Gour University, formerly known as Sagar University, is a central university in the Madhya Pradesh city of Sagar. During British rule, the university was founded on July 18, 1946. It is one of Madhya Pradesh’s oldest universities. In 2007, the NAAC of the UGC awarded the university a ‘A’ grade.
