The Central University of Jammu was founded in 2011 by the Universities Act of 2009, with the goal of becoming a leading centre of higher learning, integrating our heritage’s culture, knowledge, philosophy, science, and value system with modern and emerging concepts, skills, technology, and management practise. The university was ranked 66 in NIRF 2021 and is NAAC accredited with a “B” grade.
The university is located in Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir, and its mission is to develop talent that will carry the concept of sustainability forward. In addition to the Point (1), the student shall have secured not less than fourty five (45) percent marks in the aggregate with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with any one of the following subjects, namely, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Biology and Electronics or as decided by the University from time to time: “Provided, the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility shall be forty (40) percent in the aggregate in XII standard in case of students belonging to the SC/ST and the OBC (non-creamy layer)/ differently abled candidates or as decided by the University from time to time. Provided further that, the student shall have studied and passed English as one of the subjects.” | |||

Central University of Jammu Undergraduate Admissions:
Until 2020, admission to Central University of Jammu was based on the university’s in-house entrance test and 12th Merits. But from now onwards the entrance will be based on the CU-CET exam, a common entrance test for all central universities.
